Today my mother and I threw a little celebration for Princess who joined our family ten years ago. She is the best thing that ever happened to me and I can’t imagine my life without her.

I remember seeing Princess on Petfinder in 2010 with her big eyes. That is all you saw in her photo and that is what caught my attention. I was interested in adopting her. Luckily my mom felt the same way.

How did we celebrate such a special day? Well I baked a dog cake. It was a pumpkin, peanut butter and bacon cake. Oh, I can’t forget the non-fat cream cheese frosting! It is my first dog cake I ever baked and it turned out better than I thought it would. The most important thing is Princess, Oliver and Daisy enjoyed it.

They say there is always that one dog that leaves more paw prints on your heart than any other. For me, that is Princess. She is my best friend, my sidekick, my therapist and my world. Happy ten years Princess and I am ready to celebrate many more with you!
